Data Discovery Consultant

As a Data Discovery Consultant at Kaplan you will be part of the exciting journey of building up a strong and solid Analytics & AI team within Customer Experience Management. The team deliver advisory and technical services to make our clients more intelligent decisions and achieve better marketing performance through insights and analytics. The services have a spread from data collection and management to visualizations and advanced analytics solutions.

We need to strengthen our team with a data discovery star to make our analytics offering more complete. The role includes development of value propositions to our clients, be involved in pre-studies and sales cases, act as an internal expert in your domain and, of course, delivery of projects. Interaction with the other focus areas at Kaplan, Strategy & Change, Content & Design and Marketing Technology, is a key for our success and our concept development will always be in close collaboration in cross-functional teams.

The role requires a curiosity of the future of marketing solutions and expertise and understanding of the role of data-driven decisions as a part of that. You have a broad technical understanding, have experience form working with concepts and development in platforms from the top technology vendors at the BI and visualization market, are verbal and strong communicator of results and have a consultative way of work.

The role
  • Participation in development of value propositions to our clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data discovery and visualization context
  • Be a thought leader and educate your coworkers in best practices in data analytics and reporting
  • Building end to end solutions in projects, including analyzing, interpreting and communication of analytics-based findings from data to clients
  • BSc or MSc in a relevant degree, e.g. Computer Science, IT Engineering, Business Analytics or Economics
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a BI and Data Discovery developer
  • Experience with one or more of the leading tools for BI and Visualization, e.g. Qlik, Tableau, MS Power BI, SAS VA, Cognos Analytics or Spotfire
  • Experience from implementations and change projects within data discovery/visualization and processes for self-service analytics or concepts for building data driven organization
  • Experience from, or analysis of data from, web-analytics tools such as the Adobe suite and/or Google Analytics is an advantage
  • Fluent in the Swedish and English language
  • Consultative mindset – you enjoy working close to clients, you look forward to solving their challenges, and you can think on your feet – former consulting experience is an advantage
  • Strong personal drive and commitment with a solution-oriented mind-set
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt to different market and customer challenges
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
